Inga Flaa Erickson age 100, of Crystal formerly of Rush City, passed away on January 25th, 2011. Preceded in death by husband Marvin, 3 brothers and a sister. Survived by 4 sons; Kenneth (Lois) of New Hope, Karle (Hannah) of Eden Prairie, Bronson (Lael) of Rush City, Blaine (Barbara) of Stillwater; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Inga was born of Norwegian parents near Abercrombie, ND, on June 28, 1910. After high school she attended Bethesda Hospital Training School for Nurses in St. Paul and received her RN Degree in 1932. Inga and Marvin were married in 1935 and settled in Rush City, MN where she lived for 60 years. While working on the farm, the hospital and at the clinic, she raised her family and was active at First Lutheran Church, in community events, and as 4-H leader. Inga’s passion was serving others as a wife, mother, nurse, and friend of many. Her strong faith and great love of music touched all who knew her, including her cousins in Norway.
In 1994, Inga moved to Golden Valley and in 2008 to Sandy’s Place in Crystal. Thank you to Sandy, Dick and Staff for exceptional care these past two years. Thanks also to the Health Partners Hospice Team that assisted with her final days.
Memorial Service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Rush City at 11:00 a.m. on February 5th, 2011.
Memorials are preferred to First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rush City, or charity of givers choice.
