James A. Williams

James A. Williams of Pine City, MN died Thursday (March 10, 2011) at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 74. James Williams was born November 26, 1936 to Mary Ellen & Sturgis Williams; in Webster Springs, West Virginia. Because of a divorce and his father serving in the Army during WWII, James was raised by his grandparents, Momen and Betty Williams in Cowen, West Virginia. At an early age, James moved to Minnesota and worked as a machinist all of his adult life. James was never married. He lived at Hillside Apts. in Pine City, MN and prior to that James lived east of Beroun, MN. James is survived by his step-mother: Nancy Williams of Summersville, WV, half siblings: Suzanne (John) Ward of Craigsville, WV, Dennis Lee (Kathy) Williams of Clarksville, Tennessee, Linda K. Williams of Tuscon, AZ, Donald Lee (Sherry) Williams of Morgantown, WV and Elizabeth Ann Williams Richardson of Renick, WV. Rev. Vicki VanderVegt will officiate at funeral services for James Williams; 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City, MN. with a time of visitation and reviewal one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City, MN.
