Randy Kenneth Peil was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Kenneth and Delores (Ovik) Peil on July 26, 1956.
He attended Johnson High school, but received his GED while serving with the United States Army in Dade County, Florida. While in the military he was sent to Vietnam and was injured. Following his honorable discharge, Randy married and had a son, Randy Jr., with his first wife Karen.
Randy married Cathy in 1990. Randy and Cathy did almost everything together. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he always gave his catch away. He liked to work on small engines and started his own business. Randy and Cathy also had a new and used business. It also included woodworking designs that Randy made and which Cathy helped paint and decorate. In later years he worked as an employee of Holiday Station Store where he was an assistant manager. While at Holiday he sustained an injury and as a result was put on disability and retired early.
Randy and Cathy both liked old cars. They purchased two old cars, a 1951 Chevrolet two door Sedan Deluxe, and a 1950 Pontiac silver streak - straight 8. Both cars run and Randy was trying to restore these cars to their original condition. Now Randy will not be able to finish the job, but he knew someone with knowledge of old cars who will finish the work he started and be proud to show them.
