Gerald H. Lindstrom

Gerald "Jerry" Lindstrom of Alborn; formerly of Rush City and Bloomington; died Tuesday(7/5/11) at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth at the age of 71 after a wonderful and very spirited life! Jerry, formerly of Bloomington, MN was employed by Penny's supermarkets for many years before owning and operating Lowry Liquor in Northeast Minneapolis. He retired in 2003 and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, auto racing, all while spending time with friends and family creating the special memories we will never forget! Jerry was born in Rush City on December 23, 1939; growing up and attending schools in Rush City until the family moved to Richfield. He was confirmed at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City. Jerry graduated from Richfield High School in 1957. Jerry Lindstrom is survived by his sons Rick Lindstrom of Stillwater, Scott & Lori Lindstrom of Rush City, Brent Lindstrom of Bloomington, beloved grandchildren: Christopher, Timothy, Nicholas, Alexander and Mitchell Lindstrom; brothers Eldon (Ruby) Lindstrom of Babbitt, Virgil (Karen) Lindstrom of Ham Lake and his aunt Emma Lindstrom of Pine City. Jerry Lindstrom is preceded in death by his parents Axel and Dorothy Lindstrom. Rev. Laurie O'Shea will officiate at funeral services: 3 p.m. Saturday (7/9/11) at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Olson Chapel in Rush City and one hour prior to the funeral at church on saturday.
