Kelly Marie (Sommer) Gallimore, age 46, formerly of Pine City, died on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at her home in Hinckley. Kelly, the daughter of Butch and Ilene (Teich) Sommer, was born on September 20, 1964, in Rush City, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Pine City Public Schools in 1983.
Kelly married Jon Gallimore on April 23, 1988. Even though Jon and Kelly eventually went their separate ways, they remained good friends and Jon continues to be part of the Sommer family.
When Kelly was 13 years old, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. In her teens, she became a volunteer at Lakeside Nursing Home visiting and writing letters for the residents. Kelly received her nursing assistant certification and later was employed at the Sandstone Nursing Home until her vision made it impossible for her to continue working.

Kelly will forever be remembered and loved by her three children: Nick Gallimore of North Port, Florida; Tyler Gallimore of Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota; and Nathan Helm of Sandstone, Minnesota; step-grandson Christian; parents Butch and Ilene Sommer of Pine City; brothers Tom Sommer of Little Falls, Jim Sommer of Pine City, and Steve Sommer of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by nieces Shannon, Shiann, and Lauren and nephew Jared; special friend Teddy Helm and the Helm family of Sandstone; many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
