Gordon "Gordy" Dean Perreault

Gordon was born August 5, 1945 in Crookston, Minnesota to Louis and Rose Perreault. He attended school in Rush City, Minnesota and graduated in 1965. He also attended Carleton College for two years. Gordy was an insurance agent for a short time, and then quit to follow his passion of building and remodeling homes. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1997, and was baptized September 2011. Gordy met Sandy roller skating in 1979. They married in 1985 and they had a daughter Sara, and a son Alex. Gordy and Sandy built their dream home in 2005, and Gordy spent countless hours clearing trees and making trails in the woods. His pride and joy was his family, and he always put a value on relationships with family and friends. Gordy Perreault is survived by his wife Sandy Perreault, daughter Sara Perreault of Harris, MN, son Alexander Perreault of Dover, New Hampshire, brothers: Robert (Arlyce) Perreault of Grand Rapids, MN, Lawrence (Rosemary) Perreault of Pine City, Gary (Kathy) Perreault of Dallas, Texas, Michael (Kathy) Perreault of White Bear Lake, MN, Jack (Darcy) Perreault of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Roger (Linda) Perreault of Coon Rapids, MN, Dale Perreault of Rush City, MN, Dick (Patty) Perreault of Harris, MN, Randy (Julie) Perreault of Rush City, MN; sisters: Marlene (Jack) Doenz of Pine City, MN, Ruth (Harold) Waschenbecker of Rock Creek, MN, Jeanne (John) Jacobson of Braham, MN, Joanne (Steve) Waters of Rush City, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Louie & Rose Perreault, sister Janyce (Bud) Olsen, and his Nephew Eric Doenz. Pastor Mike Flynn will officiate at a memorial service; Saturday 6 p.m. at the Open Arms Church in Grasston with a time of visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Saturday. Eben and Barb Gillespie will provide special music. The funeral will be interpreted for the Deaf. Honorary pallbearers: Gary Weeks and son Owen, Dan Hertsgaard, Bill Aagurd, Stan Spar, Jack Perreault, David DeRio (DJ). You are invited to celebrate Gordy's life after the service with cake and coffee at the church. Funeral arrangements for Gordon Perreault of Harris are entrusted to the: Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City; Olson Chapel.
