Penny Kaye Barnes

Penny Barnes, age 79, of Pine City, Minnesota, died at her home Monday afternoon January 9th. Penny is survived by children: Mary Pat Cheney and her husband Mike of Shoreview, Keen Barnes of Pine City, Thomas Barnes and his wife Darcy of Pine City, and Michael Barnes and his wife Theresa of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many special relatives and friends. Penny was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents Henry & Laura Kaye, brothers Thomas and Charles Kaye, and special aunt Katharine Forbes. Monsignor Aleksander Suchan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Friday, January 13th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City. A time of visitation is scheduled from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 12th at Swanson Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm following the visitation on Thursday. Interment will be held at Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City. Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
