Susan Eng of Harris, MN died Thursday June 28, 2012 at her home. Susan was born in Chicago, Illinois December 11, 1928 to Edwin and Fannie Mae Myers and lived there until she married Richard Eng. They rented an apartment in Hopkins for a year, during which time they built their
first house in Rosemont where they lived for sixteen years. Four children were born within five years; Daniel, Patricia, Raymond and Vernon. They had their second house built and moved to Harris, MN in 1973 where Susan lived out the remainder of her life.
Susan graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in education and was a substitute teacher for a number of years. She was a full time mother and was extremely active in the church and devoted to her faith. Her hobbies included flower gardening, cooking, baking, feeding the birds, cross country skiing, and canoeing. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she looked forward to visits with her family from Illinois. For many years, she and her late husband Richard owned a vacation property in Zephyrhills, Florida where they would spend time during winter months relaxing and visiting their son Vernon and grandchildren. In later years the pride of her life was activities with special friends from Country Roads Church where she took great
pride in maintaining the flower gardens for many years. She always extended great love and affection to her beloved pets – a long line of fabulous Labrador retrievers and most recently ‘Mr. Kitty’.
