Joyce Marie Steinert

Joyce Marie Steinert was born on February 27, 1939 in Brook Park, Minnesota to Harry and Viola (Brackenbury) Baker. She attended school in Pine City where she graduated in 1957. She married Louie Rische on May 16, 1959. They had three children: Timothy, Gary, and Colleen. On June 4, 1971, Joyce married Richard Steinert, the love of her life. Together they enjoyed going out for coffee and pie as well as spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing and fishing. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy to her. Joyce Steinert died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Essentia Health - St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. Joyce is survived by husband Richard Steinert, children: Timothy Rische of Brook Park, Gary Rische of Brook Park, Colleen Karbsach and her husband Bob of Annandale, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, step-children: Sharon Connors and her husband Jesse of Brook Park, Rick Steinert of Brook Park, 3 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24th at 3:00 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
