Tammy Skalicky of Pine City and Sandstone, passed away September 17, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN at the age of 47.
Tammy grew up on a farm south of Pine City. She later moved to Sandstone. She was a good worker who worked at many places, including Pine Habilitation and Supported Employment, Inc. (PHASE), Tobies Restaurant, and the Hinckley Grand Casino.
Tammy loved cats and had many favorite ones while living on the farm. She loved music, especially the Monkees, Beatles and Elvis Presley. She had tickets to the upcoming Monkees’ concert in Minneapolis in November.
Tammy Skalicky is survived by her half-sisters: Arlyce Perreault and husband Bob of Grand Rapids, MN, Marilyn (Paul) Jasa of Edina, Charlou (Ben) Hancock of Brook Park, Shirley (Dan) Larson of Cambridge; half-brothers Richard (Joanne) Skalicky of Kingman, AZ. Jim Gilbey of Rush City, Wayne Gilbey of Hermantown, Wes (Diane) Gilbey of Rush City; and many nieces, nephews, and friends at Phase.
She is preceded in death by her parents Adolph & Eldora Skalicky, half sisters Phyllis Gardner and Maxine Brown, and half brother Lloyd Gilbey.
Deacon Gene Biever will officiate at a memorial service; 11:00 a.m. Saturday (9/22/2012) at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with a time of visitation one hour prior. Casual dress is encouraged!!
The inurnment will be in the Birchwood Cemetery of Pine City.
