James Erhart of Pine City died Thursday at his home east of
Pine City at the age of 61 years.
Jimmy was born March 17, 1951 in Rush City, MN to Edward and Olive (Janiskela) Erhart. He graduated from Pine City High School and then continued his education by graduating from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He spent his early years in the construction field and moved on to work for many years at 3M in Pine City.
Jimmy was the second oldest of three children. He was a private person, but he cared very deeply for his brother David and sister Sue. He went above and beyond to ensure that David was well taken care of. He was a bachelor all his life; his best friends were his dogs. Besides family, he had many friends around the neighborhood that he loved spending time with.
He loved to fish, hunt and be outdoors. He enjoyed playing cribbage and watching sports. He loved to sit and watch the Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves, Vikings, and Gophers.
He is survived by siblings: Sue (Kenneth) Geisler, David Erhart all of Pine City; his niece Tammy Geisler (Mark Green) of Burnsville, nephew Sean (Kellie) Geisler of Farmington, and great nieces and nephews Devon, Paige, and Estella Geisler, Dannon Donahue; great great niece and nephew Jovi and Carter Geisler and best friends Mike & Liz Snyder and Dick Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Olive Erhart.
A memorial service for James Erhart is planned for 2:00 p.m.
Sunday (11/18/12) at the Swanson Chapel in Pine City. A time of
visitation is planned for one hour prior to the service.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
