Marty was a ferocious reader with no limit to what she read. She loved to travel and explored many parts of the United States with her husband Bob. They also traveled to Europe with their grandsons Jon and Jason. She loved beautiful flowers, especially roses and her rose garden. She enjoyed the piano and listening to her grandchildren play. She was an outstanding cook who required a perfect table setting. Marty was a brilliant nurse who's career spanned 40 years at various hospitals including Abbott Northwestern and most importantly Kanabec Hospital in Mora. Her nursing career was her life and she took great pride in the care she gave her patients. Her career also took her to Montana, Arizona, and a stint in the United States Army where she was stationed in Germany.
