Shirley I. Karas

Shirley died Saturday, December 15th at Golden Horizons Assisted Living in Pine City at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony and a sister Irene Schlotterbeck.  She is survived by a brother Bayliss Swanson and his wife Margery of Pine City, a sister Phyllis and her husband Harold Kick of PIne City, nieces;  Sonja Thiry of Cambridge, Margret Swanson of Mahtomedi, Mary Jensen of Roseville, Elisabeth Raasch of Maple Grove, Becky Hallan of Pine City, nephews;  Peter Swanson of San Francisco and Brian Kick of Powell, Wyoming. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Pine City with Reverend Vicki Vander Vegt officiating.  Interment will be in the Birchwood Cemetery of Pine City.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to "Faith Circle, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church." Arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service ~ * Swanson Chapel, Pine City.
