Lorraine Agnes Grabau

March 3, 1920 — December 30, 2012

Lorraine Agnes Beccue was born March 3, 1920 to Herman and Agnes Beccue in Waseca County, Minnesota. Lorraine graduated from Willow River High School in June 1937. She married Floyd John Grabau in 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They had four children: Richard, Gary, Steven, and Joy. During their 54 years of marriage, they resided in Mounds View and on the farm in Willow River. For 10 years they spent their winters in southern Arizona. Floyd passed away September 27, 1994. Lorraine continued to reside in Pine City until 1995 when she moved to Duluth. Lorraine died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota. Lorraine was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Willow River, a Life Member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), American Legion Auxillary, and Charter Member of the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Lorraine is survived by sons: Richard (Melissa) Grabau, Gary (Colleen) Grabau, Steven Grabau; daughter Joy (Ron) Eastling; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Agnes Beccue, husband Floyd, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services for Lorraine Grabau will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Pine City with a time of visitation ½ hour before the funeral service. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
