Margaret Hattie Braasch was born to Rudolph and Ella Lamp on August 25, 1919 in Ogilvie, Minnesota where she grew up and attended Ogilvie public schools.
She married LeRoy Braasch on March 24, 1949. They had 2 daughters: Maxine and Joanne.
In 1955, they moved to Pine City where they first owned and operated the Topic Ballroom. Later they owned a furniture store and Montgomery Wards store. LeRoy passed away in 1999, shortly before their 50th wedding anniversary. Besides working at their businesses, Margaret enjoyed sewing, bowling and square dancing.
Our beloved mother, Margaret H. Braasch, age 93, passed away at Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City on January 27, 2013. “We love you so much! We will miss you always!”
Margaret is survived by daughters: Max Dailey and her longtime partner Jim Ditty of Pine City and Jo Hettle and her longtime partner Mack McKinney of Zimmerman; grandchildren: Rhonda Schramm and her husband Scott, Randy Jeukens, Rochelle Elie; step-children: Betty White of Mora and Lanny Braasch and his wife Gloria of Jamestown, North Dakota, many other relatives and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Braasch, parents Rudolph and Ella Lamp, sister Vera Klous, brothers Lloyd and Elmer Lamp.
In accordance with Margaret’s wishes, no memorial services will be held.
