Isabel was born November 23, 1914 in Hinckley, Minnesota to Anton and Annie Spinler. She died peacefully on February 8, 2013 in Pine City, Minnesota at the age of 98.
In her younger years, Isabel worked alongside her husband Frank on their farm in Rock Creek, Minnesota. She enjoyed gardening, showing her flowers, cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting. Isabel liked sewing and altering clothes for herself and other relatives and friends. All of her these came to her naturally.
Isabel enjoyed her nieces and nephews coming to their farm in the summer to spend a few weeks with them. She loved having people around.
In 2004, she moved to assisted living where she enjoyed helping out other residents.
Above all else, though, Isabel had a dep faith in God and devotion to her church.
Isabel will remain in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
Isabel is survived by sisters: Roslyn Yeager and her husband Tom of White Bear Lake, Sylvia Zaudtke of Duluth; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Frank Weis; her parents Anton and Annie Spinler; sisters: Mary Zbytovsky, Esther Hegge, Frances Kunze, infant sister Elaine Spinler; brothers: Charles, Fred & Clarence Spinler.
Monsignor Aleksander Suchan celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Kathy Hagberg provided music. Honorary casket bearers included Terry Zaudtke, Wayne Yeager, Tony Spinler, and Jerry Weis. Active casket bearers included Tom Yeager, Sam Spinler, Roger Kunze, Jerry Zbytovsky, Roger Stradal, and Chelsea Cannon. Interment was in Calvary Catholic Cemetery of Pine City.
Memorials are preferred to: St. Mary’s Catholic School of Pine City, Minnesota.
