John Eric Scherer

John E. Scherer died at his Pine City home on Monday, March 18, 2013. He is survived by sister Nancy Yants and her husband Tom of The Dalles, Oregon; brothers: Harvey W. Scherer of Grasston, Roger Scherer and his wife Shara of The Dalles, Oregon; nieces: Brittany M. Scherer of North Branch, Shilo Cardinal and her husband Joe of Forest Lake, Tilar Scherer of White Bear Lake; nephews: Harvey B. Scherer of Sandstone, John Scott Scherer of Pine City, Chester A. Scherer, Justin I. Scherer of Grasston. He is preceded in death by his parents John I. & Alma Kay (Gilbert) Scherer, two brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City. Interment will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (Assembly Area #2) in Minneapolis.
