Ernest Will Seedorff, 74, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at his home in East Bethel, Minnesota, surrounded by loved ones. Ernie was born November 28, 1938, to Harold and Mabel Seedorff in Brook Park, Minnesota, the youngest of 3 children. He grew up in Brook Park and graduated from Pine City High School in Pine City, Minnesota. He met his beautiful bride, Bonnie Jean Barnes, and they were married on May 20, 1961, at the Church of Christ in Pine City, Minnesota. They had 4 daughters; Zayna, Kerri, Tammy and Demina. He built a home for his family in East Bethel, Minnesota. Ernie served in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1965.Ernie graduated from Dunwoody Industrial Institute specializing in electronics. His work history included working in the electrical engineering field both at Honeywell and Northern States Power Company (now Xcel Energy). At Honeywell, he was a member of the Apollo Manned Spacecraft Team, which contributed to the safety and success of the space flights.Ernie was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed working in his garage, gardening, tinkering with antique radios and other electronics, camping, and taking trips with his family. Ernie is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters: Zayna Cisneros (Thomas Fischer), Kerri (Loni) Wuornos, Tammy (Dennis) Olsen, and Demina (Jason) Popowski; sister Joan Simoneau, brother Gary (Marvel) Seedorff, grandchildren: Caroline (Mike Jenson), Kyle, Kimberly, Caitlin, and Autumn; and great grandchildren: Emma, Ethan, Elliot, and James; many nieces and nephews, and numerous close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mabel (Jackson) Seedorff, brother-in-law Jim Simoneau and sister-in-law Mary Summers.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City, Minnesota, 665 3rd Avenue Southwest, Pine City, MN, 55063, phone 320-629-3120. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. There will be a luncheon following at the American Legion in Pine City, Minnesota, at 5 p.m.Arrangements for Ernest Seedorff are entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service ~ Swanson Chapel.
