Lois Margaret Johnson was born to Knud and Signe (Falck) Hansen on November 4, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN. After the death of her father in 1930, they moved to the Dale area where she attended Dale School and graduated from North Branch High School. In 1947 she was married to Kermit Johnson of Rush Point and Minneapolis and in 2007 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family at Calvary Lutheran Church of Rush Point. They had four daughters: Lesley (Robert) Manning of Eden Prairie, Kathleen (Melvin) Moe of Montana, Pamela (Dale) Jones of Maple Grove and Virginia Johnson of Richfield. They had seven grandchildren: Cameron Moe of Montana and Cody Moe of Rochester, MN, Carrie (Jake) Tyndale of Maple Grove, Peter Bergstrom (Becky) of Bloomington, Steven (Arianna) Jones of Mound, and Scott and Stuart Jones of Maple Grove; as well as three great-grandchildren: Parker & Madalyn Tyndale of Maple Grove and Isabel Bergstrom of Bloomington. Lois was employed in the Buying Offices of the Target Stores for 15 years until she and Kermit retired in 1981. They then moved to the Dale area and lived for 16 years on the farm where she had grown up. She was active in Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point and in the Rush Point Leisure Club and enjoyed setting up trips for the people in the area. A favorite pastime was golfing and playing cards with friends and neighbors. In 1997 they sold the farm and moved to a town house in North Branch where she continued to enjoy planning trips for the people in the area and continued her work with the church and Leisure Club. She and Kermit enjoyed traveling in all the states of the union and having traveled on every continent except Antarctica and in over 60 countries in the world. Her entire life has been one big adventure! In 2004 they began spending the winters in Mesa, AZ where they enjoyed many activities and the warmth of the desert. She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Ockard Forsman, her husband Kermit, grandson Scott Jones, four of Kermit’s sisters and three of his brothers. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, her six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, Kermit’s sister Jeanette Opitz and many nieces and nephews all of whom she leaves with all her love.
