Dolores Mae Davis of Pine City, died peacefully at home on September 27, 2013 at the age of 86.
Dolores was born December 30, 1926 in Grasston, Minnesota to Otto and Lena Auers. She married Warren Davis of Grasston on June 23, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pine City, Minnesota. They resided in Beroun and Pine City where they raised nine children.
Dolores liked gardening, flowers, traveling, camping, fishing trips and decorating her home for every holiday. She also had a passion for dancing to old time music such as polka and waltz. She had many friends that would meet on a weekly or monthly basis who also shared her passion to dance. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Dolores is survived by 8 of her 9 children; Daughter-in-law Barb Davis of Moundsview; Juanita (Gerald) Christensen of Pine City, Brian (Joan) Davis of Cambridge, Melanie (Dwain) Wiener of Rush City, Greg Davis of Pine City, Brad (Dee) Davis of Rock Creek, Lynette (Harlan) Munkberg of Grasston, Doreen (John) Gorman of Rush City, Gordon (Susan) Davis of Santa Rosa, California; 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, brother Harold (Betty) Auers, Eileen Auers, Evangaline Auers, Ione Stumne, Mildred France, Mary Davis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otto & Lena Auers, husband Warren Davis, son Bruce Davis, grandson Jamie Wiener, great-grandson T.J. Fedder, brothers Roland Auers and Stuart Auers, half-brothers Irvin Auers and Roy Auers, in-laws: Stanley (Lois) Davis, James Davis, Ethel (Art) Mattison, Arnold Stumne and long-time companion Ray Harris.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2nd at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Pine City. Interment will be in the Birchwood Cemetery, Pine City. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1st at Swanson Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
