Robert John Stich

Robert "Bob" John Stich, of Rush City, passed away at Golden Living Center on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the age of 62. Bob was born on June 2, 1951 in St. Paul where he spent the first nine years of his life. The family then moved to a farm on the west side of East Rush Lake, which became his home. Bob graduated from Rush City High School in 1970 and then spent the next three years in the US Army. In 1975 Bob started his career at Plastech Research as a press operator where was employed for 34 years until his health caused him to retire. Bob's favorite past times included walking and biking around town and visiting with friends over a cold refreshment. Bob is survived by his brothers: Bill (Linda) Stich of Elmira, OR, Mike (Mary) Stich of Wyoming, Patrick Stich of Lindstrom and John Stich of Burnsville. Sister: Marilyn (Dan) Thielmann of Morres Hill, IN, Cathy (David) Atnip of Purcell, OK, Mary (Rob) Eaton of Willow River; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Cletus (Bud) and Gloria Stich, sister Susan, brothers Jim, Tom, Jim (Tiseth) and nephew Danny. Father Shane Wasinger will officiate a Mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rush City at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov 15, 2013. A time of visitation and reviewal will be held an hour prior to the service at 10:00. a.m. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery of Rush City.
