Phyllis Mae Bell, of North Branch, passed away November 12th, 2013 at the age of 79.
Phyllis was born on September 13, 1934, in Harris, MN, at home with the help of a midwife to her parents Selena and Raymond Sybrant. Among her family of brothers and sisters, Phyllis was the fourth child out of nine. Phyllis attended grade school in Harris and high school in Rush City. She was raised on a farm where tending to a large garden and the many farm animals kept you very busy.
Phyllis married young and spent her first years with Wesley Olson in the Circle Pines area where she started her family with children Mitchell, Patricia and Douglas. She was married to Elwyn Johnson, and lived in the Sunrise area where her family grew to include sons Jerome and Jeffrey. When Phyllis married Harry William Bell, they started out in the Stacy area, built a house east of Cambridge, and later moved to a lake home on Rush Lake. It was during these times that Teena was born and raised to complete her family.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her children: Mitchell (Pamela) Olson of North Branch, Patricia Olson of Virginia, Douglas (Karen) Olson of Medford, Jerome Johnson of Willmar, Jeffrey Johnson of Minneapolis, and Teena (Todd) Ramberg of Rush City, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Phyllis is survived by brother Francis (Delores) Sybrant of Fernly, NV, sisters: Selena Rae (Mike) Carlson of Sturgeon lake, Cynthia (Larry) Butenhoff of Mora; and sister-in-law Arlene Sybrant of Fernly, NV.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Selena and Raymond Sybrant, son Jesse James Johnson, brothers: Wallace Sybrant, Clyde Sybrant and Joseph Sybrant, sisters: Virginia Fedder and Grace Englebretson.
