Viola Opal Williams Andersen Froelke of Rush City, MN went home to be with the lord at Ecumen of North Branch on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at age 95.
She was born in July of 1918 on the Williams farm two miles West of Hinckley, MN to Bert and Alcy Williams.
She attended Hinckley Schools and graduated in 1936. She owned Vi’s Dress Shop on Main Street in Hinckley during WWII, where Hinckley News is now located. She worked at several jobs throughout her life including her husband’s business Froelke Brothers Chrysler Plymouth Dealership and Implement as a bookkeeper.
She enjoyed many hobbies like gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, traveling and dancing to her husband’s polka band, The Jolly Dutchman.
She was a dedicated mother and homemaker to her children. Her nickname was “Vi” and had many friends because of her upbeat attitude and good personality. She was considered a second mom to many because of her endearing qualities.
She was preceded in death by husbands: Evald Andersen and Ambrose Froelke; son Paul Froelke and infant son Andersen, her parents, and brothers: Clarion "Puss" Williams and Roy Williams.
She is survived by five children, Gary (Marty) Andersen of Land O Lakes, FL, Faye (Scott) Gardner of Rush City, Lenne Froelke of Rush City, John (Kelly) Froelke of Pine City and Diane Froelke of Forest Lake, daughter-in-law Rose Froelke Cumpian, sister-in-law Eleanor Beise, many nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. Sunday (7/27/14) with a time of visitation 2 hrs prior; all at the Olson Chapel in Rush City. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Rush City.
