Debbi Odegard, age 52, of Farmington, formerly of the Pine City area died Monday, January 6th at Fairview Ridges Hospital of Burnsville.
Debbi was born January 23, 1961 in Golden Valley, MN. She was raised in Minneapolis, MN. She moved to Pine City, MN and resided there until the summer of 2003. She moved to Northfield, MN for three years, then to Inver Grove Heights, MN for one year. In 2007, she moved to Farmington, MN.
Debbi went to Pine Technical College and got a Certificate for being a Machinist. Then, she went to college to follow her dream to become a massage therapist. She owned a massage business in Farmington, MN.
Debbi enjoyed re-enacting the Fur Trade Era. She volunteered at Historic Sites including the North West Company Fur Post in Pine City, MN.
She loved to do many crafts and passed on her passion for sewing, knitting, crocheting, beading, and cross-stitching to her daughters. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her love of people will never be forgotten.
Debbi is survived by her mother Mary Ann LaTourelle of Avon; children: Danielle Odegard of Northfield, Rachel (Brock) Zenner of Medford, Wisconsin, Derrick (Amanda) Odegard of McBee, South Carolina, Nicole Odegard of Cannon Falls; grandchildren: Josh, Gabby, Jasmine, Sierra, Cole, Carter; brothers: Drew (Kelly Mattson) Larson of Braham, Tod Larson of Burlington, Wisconsin;
sisters: Wendy (Chris) Jeub of Monument, Colorado, Paula Larson of Rice, Heather (Mark) Pierskalla of Avon; along with many other relatives and friends.
Debbi is preceded in death by her father Donald "Scotty" Larson.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11th at the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
