Nancy June Fier

Nancy J. (Koenck) Fier, age 73 of Pine City, passed away at her home on April 18th. Nancy was born in St. Paul on Dec. 13, 1940 and grew up in Donnelly, Minnesota. She moved to Richfield, MN where her love for children led her to a career in providing childcare in her home. Nancy retired to the Pine City area where she enjoyed gardening and was a former member of the Pine City Garden Club. She loved entertaining family and friends and was a wonderful hostess.Nancy is survived by her husband Harold, daughters: Joleen (Philip); Carole (Roger); Fayla (Pat); son Jerald Jr. (Kim); her mother Pearl, sister Bonnie (Jim), and brothers Larry (Peggy) and Jody (Coleen). She leaves eight stepchildren, four grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence, brother Gary and infant sister Mary. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Pine City Town Hall, 21977 St. Croix Road.
