Michele (Shelly) Marie Hale, age 41, of Hinckley MN, passed away at her home on April 17, 2014; after a courageous seven year battle with breast cancer. During Shelly’s final days, she was surrounded by Family and Friends.Shelly was born on August 10, 1972 in Buffalo MN, to Donald and Mary Hale. Shelly’s family lived in Belle Plaine, IA before moving back to Stanchfield, MN, where the family farmed. Shelly attended and graduated from Braham Area School. Her first job was at the Braham Area Schools as a janitorial assistant during the summers.After High School Shelly Lived and worked in St. Cloud, Mn, She also lived in the Mora area before moving into PowerHouse.
Shelly lived at PowerHouse Group Homes and worked at Phase for the last thirteen plus years. She enjoyed crafting, traveling and visiting friends and family. She had taken ten road trips with PowerHouse Group Homes and was able to visit all 48 contiguous states.Shelly Loved Children and Animals. She Loved Mickey Mouse and anything Walt Disney and was an avid collector. After getting Breast Cancer, Shelly embraced the cause and became an advocate.Shelly was kind and compassionate and will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
Shelly was preceded in death by her grandparents Edwin and Dorothy Buckett. She is survived by her parents Donald Hale(Charis Hershey), Mora MN; and mother Mary Hale, Coon Rapids, MN; brothers Jim Teter, Mora MN; Dale (Jennifer) Teter, Coon Rapids, MN; Richard Hale, Mora MN; Charles Hale, Grasston; and sister Cathy (Danny) Satter, Sandstone. She is also survived by her aunt Darlene White of Roseville, MN, her uncle Charles Buckett, many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her extended family; Debbie, Dan, Annie of PowerHouse; Bob, Echo, Amie, Emily, Matthew, Zachary Yerke, PowerHouse staff; Bob Workman, Michelle Inman, Laurie Hermanson, Larry Anderson, Cassandra Clark, Ruby Sparks and Brad Dutcher. She is also survived by her Phase family.
Pastor Dennis Eng will officiate the funeral service For Shelly Hale at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23rd at the Swanson Funeral Chapel. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. also at the Swanson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Birchwood Cemetery of Pine City. Pallbearers are Chuck Hale, Dale Teter, Larry Anderson, Bob Workman, Dan Mikush and Bob Yerke.
