Jeanne Rohlf of Golden Horizon in Pine City; formerly of Harris, Rush City and Beroun; passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her home at Golden Horizon at the age of 88 years. Jeanette "Jeanne" Elaine Rohlf was born July 5, 1925 to Ulys "Dick" and Stella (Munger) Ruby in Pine City, MN. She grew up and attended schools in Pine City. In her youth, Jeanne had two sons; Dennis and Jeff. In 1965, Jeanne was married to Clifford Rohlf at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City.For most of her life, Jeanne worked as a waitress and bartender. She worked many years at Mr. Joe's in St. Paul, the 61 Way Cafe in Pine City and later in life managed the Elk River American Legion.  She loved her soap operas and would watch them in the morning and go to work at night.Jeanne and Cliff loved to travel and visited many states. They also traveled to Germany. Jeanne loved to fish and sew. An excellent seamstress, she made many wedding and prom dresses for relatives and friends. Jeanne was active in the Elk River American Legion and the Grothe-Jacobson VFW Post # 6692 Auxiliary of Rush City. She was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Rush City. Jeanne Rohlf is survived by her sons Jeff Rink (Cathy) of Hastings, Dennis Barbour of Spooner, WI, step-children: Diane (Richard) Friday of Rush City, Janice Koenig of Henriette, Bonnie (Ken) Howard of Blaine, Ronald (Sandy) Rohlf of Abilene, TX, and Carol (Don) Hanson of Rush City, 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Ruby Rohlf and Charlotte Rohlf both of Chesapeake, VA.Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Dick & Stella Ruby, husband Cliff Rohlf, sisters: Maxine (Bud) Odendahl, Marie “Arlene” Ruby, Virginia (John) Levine and her brother Eldon Ruby.Pastor John Beck will officiate a memorial service for Jeanne; at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 5th at St. John's Lutheran Church.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior also at St. John's Lutheran Church.  Inurnment will be in the St. John's Cemetery of Rush Lake.Funeral arrangements for Jeanne Rohlf (Mrs. Cliff Rohlf) are entrusted to the:Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City~Olson Chapel. www.funeralandcremationservice.com
