LaVonne Eunice Tracy

LaVonne Tracy, age 78 of pine City, died Sunday, May 18th at Grace Pointe Crossings, Gables East in Cambridge, Minnesota. Lavonne was born at home in Brook Park, Minnesota on January 25, 1936. She attended school at Sunnyside near Browns Corner and then Pine City Schools. She married Don Tracy on June 8, 1952. They moved around in their earlier years, but settled on the home that they built near Henriette in 1968. They moved to Braham in 1981 and retired on Pokegama Lake in 1997. Together they raised five children. LaVonne worked at the state hospital for 15 years, retiring from there in 1992. Lavonne is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Eunice (Williams) Lange, husband Don Tracy, brothers: Hartley Lange and Arvin Lange; daughter-in-law Annette Tracy, and her sisters-in-law Marsha Lange and Nancy Lange. She is survived by her children: Jim (Jean) Tracy, Wes (Tara) Tracy, Tim (Nancy) Tracy, Becky (Terry) Turnquist, Dan (Jenny) Tracy; grandchildren: Josh (Renee) Tracy, Adam Tracy, Jenny (Jason) Reed, Jackie Tracy, Beth Tracy, Brandon Tracy, Megan (Boone) Greenly, Molly Turnquist, Allison Turnquist, Connor Tracy and Lauren Tracy; great grandchildren: Lillian Tracy and Riker Greenly; brother Gary Lange; sisters: LaVelle (Phill) Johnston, Sheryl (Dick) Hudlow, Shari (Bill) Grabinski; sister-in-law Donna Lange, and many nieces and nephews. Pastor Rob Spahr will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Pine City. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Swanson Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
