George Edmund Drimel

George E. Drimel passed away peacefully at the age of 85, in Sarasota Florida on May 14. He was born in Pine City and lived for many years in Duluth, Minnesota before moving to Florida. George is survived by his children: Lorraine Victor of St. Paul, William (Patricia) Drimel of Hartford, WI, George G. (Terri) Drimel of Center City; grandchildren: Jennifer (Scott) Vandermeuse, Michael Drimel and fiance Julie Bohl, Amanda (Kisu) Kang, John (Ashley) Shopa; great grandchildren: Liam and Reese Shopa; cousin Edwin (Rachael) Stoffel of Pine City, and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents William & Agnes (Tacheny) Drimel, wife Phyllis (Pierce) Drimel, sister Lorraine Drimel, and son-in-law Robert Victor. George loved to travel with Phyllis, his wife of 58 years and we take comfort that they are reunited. He will be remembered for his jovial laugh, gentle spirit and deep faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 23rd at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine with Aleksander Suchan officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, May 22nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m prayer service at the Swanson Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church.
