Lola Huhn of Pine City, passed away on July 3, 2014 at Fairview Medical Center - University Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 64.
Lola enjoyed working in her father’s motorcycle business, Karl’s Cycle Shop located on Lake Street. She attended Anoka tech and graduated as an optician. She worked for Snyder Drug for many years before retiring in 2005.
She married Richard Rust in 1969 and they had an infant son who lived only one day. They were divorced in 1972. On September 25, 1985 she began to date Ron Huhn and they were married on September 25, 1999 exactly fourteen years later. They moved to Rock Creek in 2010 where they enjoyed sitting on their gazebo. Lola enjoyed sports and especially the Minnesota Twins and Gophers basketball team.
Lola is survived by her husband Ron, mother Jean Newcomb of Pine City, daughter Julie Woldstad of Hinckley, grandsons: Kevin and Kyle Woldstad of Hinckley, sister Paula Walsh and her husband Pat of Spearfish, SD, and many nieces and nephews.
Lola is preceded in death by her father Paul Newcomb, an infant son and her stepson Kevin Dutcher.
Pastor Lyn Sahr will officiate a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12th at the Olson Funeral Chapel of Rush City. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. also at the Olson Funeral Chapel.
