Stacia Ann Berghammer was born January 19th, 1935 in Mankato MN to Reuben and Jesse Blow. She ended her earthly journey on July 20, 2014. Stacia's school years were spent at Rapidan school where she was a cheerleader and played the cornet. She also met her husband, of nearly 61 years, Alvin there. They were married October 10, 1953. This union was blessed with four children which Stacia took great pride in: Pam, Greg, Marvin, and Lynda.Stacia and Alvin lived in Fort Knox KY 1953-1955 while Alvin was serving in the US Army. In 1955 they moved to Mankato MN then in 1958 to Good Thunder MN and in 1963 they purchased their farm in Pine City. Mom worked as a waitress after they first were married and again in the early 80's. She was Dad's "team mate" for 10 years with Mayflower Moving. Mom worked with the physically and mentally challenged in Cambridge for many years....a job she truly felt called for.Stacia was very loving, generous of herself and cared greatly for her family and friends which were first and foremost in her life. Mom was always supportive of any sports or activities her kids were involved in. She LOVED to play cards, pick agates, build puzzles, and spend time in the kitchen. She had a large garden (weedless) and canned hundreds of quarts of produce for her family. Christmas time resembled a bakery with all of the "goodies" she would make. She usually started in October. She always made sure everyone had their favorite. Stacia and Al had a 7000 egg laying chicken operation and for many years Stacia had an egg route in the area meeting many people in her role as "The Egg Lady". For the last six years Stacia and Al oversaw Bingo games played at the Hinckley Senior Center on Tuesdays and every other Thursday.
