Randal John Perron

September 9, 1965 — September 1, 2014

Randal John Perron graduated high school from Stillwater Senior High in 1984. He went on to attend both Vermillion Community College and Lakewood College, receiving a degree in law enforcement. After college Randy was employed by Washington County, Oak Park Heights Prison and went on to become a Deputy Sheriff with the Dane County Sheriff’s Department in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1994, Randy miraculously survived a blood infection/coma and stroke, with a 1% chance of survival, having been incredibly blessed to witness the many accomplishments of his children and enjoy many special events with family and friends, and many cherished hunting excursions and became a grandfather. Randy was so very thankful for his opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors with his father and to still be able to hunt, despite his disability thanks to Capable Partners, his Dad and Brian Jorgenson (who took Randy hunting after his father’s death). Randy’s family would like to sincerely thank the Dane County Sheriff’s Department for all that they did for Randy and for Randy’s family. He absolutely loved working with all of you. Many thanks to so many people that Randy was so blessed to cross paths with in his journey. He was so thankful to the many caregivers who provided such care and compassion. Many became like family. Special thanks to Dr. John Ruddy of Cambridge Medical Center, Randy’s primary doctor and the entire staff at Cambridge Medical Center, and Cambridge Hospital. Many thanks to Randy’s college buddies, Todd Kirchgatter, Dave Kisch and Mike Lowry for so many cherished memories. Many thanks to Pastor Lee Beecher at Living Water Fellowship and Randy’s entire church family for their love and support. What a blessing you have been to Randy and his entire family. Randy’s faith, his family and friends meant everything to him. His family was so inspired by his gratitude, his positive outlook on life and overall happiness despite the challenges he faced. His greatest joy was his amazing children. Randy was living in a group home in Taylors Falls at the time of his death, which occurred Monday (9/1/2014) at the Cambridge Medical Center in Cambridge, MN at the age of 48. Randy Perron is preceded in death by his father John Perron. He is survived by his mother Louise Perron of North Branch, children: Ashley Perron of St. Cloud, Austin Perron of Madison, WI, Kayla Perkins of Hill City, grandson Harvey Perkins, sister Lisa Jorgenson of North Branch, nephew Blake Randal Jorgenson of Isanti and many extended family members. Pastor Lee Beecher will officiate a Celebration of Randy's Life at 7:00 p.m. Friday (9/5/14) with a time of visitation 1 hr prior at the Living Water Fellowship in Rush City.
