Howard Bryan Bloomquist, 58 was born November 30, 1955 to Harry and Dorothy Bloomquist in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 1974 and then from Dunwoody Auto Body in 1976. Howard (Howie) moved to Pine City in 1978 and established Bloomquist Auto Body in 1984. Howie married Karin Ann Pixler in Minneapolis, MN on October 10, 1980. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Family was very important to Howie and he loved being a husband, dad, ‘Papa’, brother and uncle. Howie loved people and he had a servant’s heart. His family named him “Rescue Ranger”. He could be found on many occasions driving around with his car totter to help a stranded friend or stranger. He could also be found on any given project at church which often included anything from tearing out a wall to repairing a door handle. He looked forward to his breakfasts with his ‘round table’ friends at Nicoll’s. He had a zest for life and loved to laugh. He was known for his outgoing personality and positive outlook on life. Howie loved his chosen profession as an auto body mechanic and it was common to drive by his shop at 3 AM and see a light on. Howie was always ready to share the faith and hope he knew as a follower of Christ. He went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 24. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. I Peter 4:10 -- As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
