Kirk Flesland, of Pine City, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 63.
Kirk was born September 30, 1951 in St. Paul, MN to Albert & Evelyn (Olson) Flesland. He was raised in Roseville and graduated from Ramsey High School in 1969. Growing up he spent summers at the family cabin on Pokegama Lake.
He attended St. Cloud State University majoring in music and graduated in 1973. After college he spent time in the Detroit Lakes area and moved to Pine City in 1979 to live at his current residence.
He worked at the Northwest Fur Post as a voyageur and was a re-enactor. Kirk played in a variety of local bands until he opened his electronic repair business in 1990. The Fixery was the quintessential TV repair shop.
Kirk and Sheri celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary on January 9, 2015. Kirk could be seen at the weekly flea market, he enjoyed reading books from the library, beer making and walks with Sheri.
Kirk is survived by his wife Sheri Flesland, daughter: April Flesland (Antonio Mincks) of Minneapolis, mother Evelyn Flesland of Arden Hills, brother Bruce Flesland of Savage, niece Erica (Shannon) Mohs, great nephew Julian Mohs, and great niece Stella Mohs all of Sartell. He is preceded in death by his father Albert Flesland. Reverend Vicki VanderVegt will officiate the memorial service; 11 a.m., Monday, January 19th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. A time of visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
