Kathy Jean Maciewski

Kathy Maciewski of Duluth and formerly of Pine City, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 52. Kathy Jean Maciewski, was born March 11, 1962 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She lived and went to school around the Pine City area. Kathy married Mark Maciewski in Denver, Colorado during the summer of 1983. From that marriage three children were born: Kelsa, Mark, and Melissa. Kathy worked as a Nurses Aid most of her life. Caring for people was what she was most passionate about, always willing to lend a helping hand. She is survived by her mother Yvonne Osterdyk of Pine City, son Mark Maciewski, daughter Kelsa Maciewski and granddaughter Emma Maher all of Duluth. Also surviving Kathy are her siblings Robert (Lee) Hensley of Pine City, Jimmy Hensley of Wisconsin, Jack (Julie) Hinsley of Pine City, Scott Crist of Mora, Heidi (Cory) Crist of Mora, Heather (Nate) Fuller of Pine City, Erin Fuller of Mora, Dustin (Angie) Fuller of Pine City, Kristin Gutz of Rush City and many nieces and nephews. Kathy is preceded in death by her father R.C. Hensley, daughter Melissa Maciewski, sister Debra Hensley and a brother Shawn Fuller. Pastor Bruce Thompson will officiate a funeral service for Kathy Maciewski; 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City. A visitation and reviewal is planned for Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. also at the Olson Chapel in Rush City. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers.
