Jane C. Manson of Pine City lost her battle to lung cancer on March 5, 2015 at her at the age of 61. She was born on January 7, 1954 to Walter and Mildred Asplund. She married Thomas Manson in January of 1970. Together they had 7 children. They made their home in Minneapolis until 1978 when they moved to east of Pine City, MN. She resided here until her death. Jane loved animals, canning, gardening, quilting, dancing, and crocheting. In 1988 she lost the love of her life, Tom, and became a widow. She was proud of herself for going back to school and getting a degree in Business Administration in 2005. Then in 2009 she became the owner of Stogies Discount tobacco store. She was proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.Jane is survived by her son Joseph Manson of Minneapolis, daughters: Jane (Elias) Delgado of Forest Lake, Jennifer (Adam) Brinker of Pine City, Justine (Tony) Kurth of Pine City, Jolene (Emmanuel) Situma of Bloomington, Jocelyn Manson of Excelsior; grandchildren: Dale, Michael, Alisha, Nathan, Jesse, Alex, Jeremy, Joshua, Logan, Jared, Thomas, Jerald, David, Lily and Emmanuel; great grandchildren: Arayiah, Anthony, Joseph and Edwin; brother Dale (Lori) Johnson of Richfield, sister Darlene Smith of Bend, OR, and special friend Marvin Brinker. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Manson, parents Walter & Mildred (Dodd) Asplund, infant daughter Jade Manson, sisters: Alana and Marlene. Pastor Bruce Thompson will officiate the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel. A time of visitation and reviewal will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. also at the Swanson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Crystal Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
