Linda Lou Behrendt

Linda L. Behrendt of Rush City passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 10 at the age of 63. Linda was born May 27, 1952 at the Rush City Hospital to Ira and Florence Button; she was the youngest of 7 children. Linda grew up in the Pine City area and attended the Pine City High School. Linda married Robert Behrendt in 1969 and they made their home in Rush City. She was a homemaker for many years before working at Lee’s Apron, AAl and most recently Plastech Corporation all of Rush City. She enjoyed many good times horseback riding and snowmobiling with family and friends. Linda and her sister recently traveled to Hawaii and also to Las Vegas to visit their brother, sister and extended family members. She enjoyed attending and cheering on her grandchildren and nephews at athletic events. Many times she traveled a few hours one way gabbing with her daughter the whole time. She enjoyed living in the country and with the help of her son, brother-in-law and other family members she was able to continue living in her home after the death of her husband. Linda is survived by her children: Allen Behrendt and Tracy (Keith) Blazek, grandchildren Blaine and Kassidy Blazek all of Rush City, mother-in-law Doris Wolf, brother-in-law Scott (Jenny) Wolf all of Rush City, sister-in-law Bernice Marier of Nickerson, brothers Roger Button of WA, Fred (Sandy) Button of NV, Bruce Button of MN, sister Nancy Martini of WA and many nephews and nieces. Linda is preceded in death by husband Robert Behrendt, parents Ira and Florence Button, sister Lori Dunlavey, brother Norman Button and brother-in-law Jerry Marier. Laurie O’Shea will officiate a funeral service; 11:00 a.m. Monday, (June 15, 2015) at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for Sunday 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Olson Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements for Linda L.
