Darrell Arthur Borgstrom

Darrell Borgstrom of Rush City passed away at Ecumen of North Branch, Wednesday (7/29/2015) at the age of 89 years. Darrell is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Rush City; children Steven Borgstrom and wife Beverly of Cape Coral, Florida; Karen Ehlen and Dennis Lamm of Coon Rapids; Jon Borgstrom and wife Cathy of Eagan; Kathy Byrd and Mark Whetstone of Millsap Texas; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Larson of Brainerd; brother William Borgstrom and wife Carole of Canton, Alabama; sister-in-law Ardis Borgstrom of Little Falls; many nieces and nephews. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Louise Borgstrom; sisters Arlene Borgstrom and Delores Perkins and his brother Robert Borgstrom. Pastor Laurie O’Shea will officiate a celebration of Darrell’s life, 2:00 PM Monday (8/3/2015) at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for Sunday 5:30 – 8:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City and one hour prior to the service at the church. Casket bearers will include Dan Wiberg, Mark Roose, Brady Dwyer, Matt Ehlen, Brandon Soleta, Erik Borgstrom, Jamie Kinman, Sam Wiberg. Honorary casket bearers include grandson Jeremy Klein and Creekside “Coffee Buddies.” The inurnment will take place at a later date in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley, Little Falls, MN. Memorials are preferred to Fairview Hospice or First Evangelical Lutheran Church – Building Fund.
