Albert Herman Schmidt

Albert Herman Schmidt Sr. of Pine City passed away October 22, 2015 at Augustana Care Center, Moose Lake, Minnesota at the age 81. Al was born March 25, 1934 to Earl and Gertrude (Springer) Schmidt in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Al married Jewell R. Mammenga on March 6, 1954. Together they owned and operated A&J Contract Carriers for 25 years along with many other small businesses. Al is survived by his wife Jewell, children Cynthia (Gene Duram) Schmidt, Charles (Wendy) Schmidt, Al Schmidt Jr. (Lori Lindfors), Robin (Dennis) Root and Penny (Keith) Lindahl, grandchildren Jamey, Troy, Corey, and Melissa, great grandchildren Ariel, Claire, and Quinn, one brother, two sisters and many other relatives and friends. Rev. Glen Kleppe will officiate a memorial service for Albert; Saturday, November 7, 2015, 3:00 p.m. at the Swanson Chapel in Pine City. A time of visitation is planned for one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Al is preceded in death by his parents Earl & Gertrude (Springer) Schmidt.
