John was born in Great Lakes, Illinois to Scott and Roxanne Diers October 21, 1980. The family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where John graduated from pre-school at age 4. John and family then settled in Ogilvie, Minnesota where John attended school and received a high school diploma.
John received awards in the Boy Scouts and did many heartfelt things for others. He enjoyed hunting, wrestling and football. He loved music and singing along to music, drawing and writing poetry and collecting baseball cards. John and Tansy Mach were married July 24th 2000 in Pine City, MN. In the recent years, John received a
degree in interior design.
John Diers died April 1, 2009 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 28 years, 5 months and 10 days.
John loved to charm you, make you smile; he loved animals and liked toys; and loved just being a monkey. (Right Tansy?) John will be greatly missed!
John is survived by his wife Tansy Diers of Rush City, father Scott Diers of Rush City, mother Roxanne (husband Paul) Viney of Ogilvie, brothers Scott “Bubba” Diers, Richard “Dickie” Diers both of Ogilvie, grandfather Alvin “Ted” Diers of Rush City, grandmother Patricia Ann Boyer of Cal, step father Gary Holmes of Ogilvie, brothers and sisters Chad Holmes, Stephanie Holmes, Mathew Viney, Alysha Viney, Kara Viney, uncles Scooter Boyer, Randy Boyer both of Cal., Vernon “Buck” (Vickie) Diers of Houston, Tx, aunts Sandy Ajdukovich of Hibbing, Kathy (Dr. Mark) Olson of North Branch, cousin Joey, nieces Tayler Mach, Bailey Hegge, Chloe Hegge and nephews Parker Mach, Tristen Diers, Kanon Diers and Owen Mach-Johnson
A time of visitation for John Diers was held Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 1-4 p.m. at the Olson Chapel in Rush City with an impromtu memorial service led by Mr. Albert Cano.
