David William Yost

David Yost of Brooklyn Park passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the age of 49. David was born June 15, 1966 to Gerald and Joy (Doran) Yost of Brooklyn Center. He attended and graduated from Park Center High School in Brooklyn Center. David then attended North Hennepin Community College and went on to St. Cloud State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. A 20 year employee of Boston Scientific, David ‘s life work involved helping others. He was involved with pacemaker research and development and had several patents for pacemakers. David’s avocation involved hunting and fishing. He loved being at the lake enjoying pontoon rides with family and friends. He also loved his special pal Oscar. David will be dearly missed by his family and friends. David is survived by his parents Gerald and Joy Yost of Brooklyn Center, son Jared Yost of Brooklyn Park, daughter Kyla Yost of Ham Lake, grandson Leo Yost, many other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by his grandparents and cousins Mike Yost and Cindy Yost. Reverend Vicki Vander Vegt will officiate funeral services for David: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service, all at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City.
