Katharina Marten

Katharina “ Katie” Marten of Pine City, formerly of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the age of 92 at the Lakeside Medical Center. Katie was born September 26, 1923 in Mainz, Germany to Philipp and Bernhardine (Doemges) Alberti. Katie is survived by her daughter Irma Ericson of Pine City, grandchildren: Douglas Small, Len Anderson, Todd Anderson, Scott Anderson, Kathy (Wade) Zwick, Jim Jr. (Lori) Ericson, Jody (Dan) Kortus; many great grandchildren, godson Douglas (Dianna) Baumann of Tomah, WI, many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Philipp & Bernhardine Alberti, husband Reuben, and son-in-law Jim Ericson. Pastor Jason Schulz will officiate at the funeral service for Katharina Marten at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016, visitation is planned for one hour prior to the service all at the Swanson Chapel, Pine City. Music will be provided by her great granddaughter Brittney Anderson. Casket bearers: Todd Anderson, Scott Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Mike Zwick, Nick Zwick, and Chris Zwick. Interment will take place at 2:05 p.m., at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area #1, Minneapolis.
