Frederick William Pals, Jr., age 69, of Stanchfield, Minnesota, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born July 1, 1939 in Iowa to Fred and Helen (Lundin) Pals. At a young age he moved with his family to a farm located east of Rush City, Minnesota.
On January 18, 1961, at the age of 21, Fred married Martha Bell of Pine City, Minnesota and together they raised four children: Michael, Cindy, Greg and David.
Fred supported his family by working at Land O’ Lakes in Rush City for 29 years. He also worked his own small farm west of Rush City. He was a hard worker both on the farm and at his occupation.
Fred, or as his family and friends called him, Freddie, liked to make people laugh. He had a laugh that was all his own. For fun he loved to play cards, preferably 500,
and if you knew Freddie, you always wanted to be his partner. He loved spending time with his family, either by sitting down and having a cup of coffee or getting on a plane and traveling to see them. He enjoyed deer hunting each year with family members and friends. At times Freddie was a “man of few words” but it was always clear that Freddie loved his family and that his friends were very dear to him. He will be missed by all.
Fred Pals Jr. is survived by his wife Martha, Sons
