Larry Arthur Swanson

Larry Arthur Swanson A.K.A. “Keeb” of Pine City passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the age of 60. Larry was born to Norman and Lavern (Widstrand) Swanson on November 16, 1955 in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was the sixth of eight children. He attended Pine City High School and Pine Technical Institute (Pine Technical Community and Technical College). His chosen profession was welding. He spent his entire life in the Pine City area. Larry enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, bird watching, riding his Harley, playing horseshoes, pool and golf. He loved listening to Willie Nelson and playing his own guitar. Larry was a kind and gentle man that was well loved by his many relatives and friends. He will especially be missed by his siblings; they will keep him forever in their thoughts and hearts. Please rest in peace dear brother until we meet again. Larry is survived by his siblings: Yvonne Osterdyk of Pine City, Patricia (Byron) Workman of Montana, Cheryl (Fred) Willert of Pine City, Richard (Debra) Swanson of Cambridge, Charles Swanson of Pine City, Ronald Swanson of Colorado, and Rande Swanson of Pine City, many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Lavern Swanson, niece Kathy Maciewski, and brother-in-law Dean Osterdyk. Rick Maukstad will officiate services for Larry: 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2016, visitation and reviewal is planned for Tuesday evening 5-8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service all at the Swanson Chapel, Pine City.
