Jeanne Hawley of Pine City passed away at her home Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 at the age of 91.
Jeanne was born in Solon Springs, Wisconsin to Barbara and Frank Sullivan and grew up in Mora, Minnesota. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
Her friends and family will always remember her big smile, friendly uplifting spirit and outgoing personality. She was a tenacious bridge player and could out talk anyone. In fact, I’m sure she’s still talking to Saint Peter at heaven’s gates right now, making God wait for her.
Her favorite saying was, “How nice it is to be together. I love it.”
Her favorite color was purple and her favorite flowers were daisies.
Jeanne is survived by her children: Bob Hawley of Bedford Corners, New York, James (Donna) Hawley of Minneapolis, John (Melanie) Hawley of Avondale, Arizona, Barbara (Tom) Hawley Crozier of Madison, Wisconsin, Mary (John) Jordan of New Brighton, Ann (Larry) Marczak of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Monsignor Aleksander Suchan and Father Michael Lyons will con-celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne: 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pine City. Music will be provided by Paul and Teena Bacigalupi, Kevin and Joanne Cahill and Adrienne Roubinek. Casket Bearers will include Jeanne's grandchildren. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday (7/19/16) at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Pine City.
