Donna Rae Jacot

Donna Rae Jacot January 11, 1941 - August 11, 2016 On August 11, 2016, Donna Rae (McMahon) Jacot went home to be with Jesus. She was born January 11, 1941 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Clara and Leo McMahon. She was an only child. She graduated in 1959 as Valedictorian of Swanville High School and shortly after graduating she married Harold Jacot. Together they had three children: Deb, Lori and Becky. After their divorce, Donna started working at the Pine City Elementary School for the next 41 years as a dearly loved kindergarten teacher's aide. She loved the kids dearly and impacted their lives in many ways. Donna came to faith in Christ in her teenage years. Upon moving to Pine City, she became very involved in the Pine City Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday school, played the piano for worship services and was involved in Bible study. She was a member of the Free Church for 52 years. Donna loved reading, gardening, cooking and entertaining. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, her laughter and her genuine love and care for others. Donna is survived by her three daughters Deb Jacot of New Berlin, WI., Lori (John) DuChene of Anaconda, MT. and Becky (Greg) Long of Mora, MN and her granddaughter Jenny Long of Fargo, ND. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Clara McMahon, and her very special friend Loren Ferch who had been a wonderful companion to her for the past 5 years. Pastors Jim Scobbie and Joel Preston will officiate the celebration of life service for Donna Jacot at 5:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Pine City Evangelical Free Church - Lighthouse. A time of visitation is planned for one hour prior to the service at the church.
