Delphine Rose Belko

Delphine Belko of Pine City passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming at the age of 85. Delphine Rose (Stoffel) Belko was born on April, 17, 1931 in Pine City to Nickolas and Caroline (Kick) Stoffel. She lived on the family farm until she graduated from high school. Delphine then moved to Minneapolis and worked for the Greyhound Bus Company as a bookkeeper and at the Fanny Farmer Cafeteria at Dayton’s. Delphine married Eddie Belko on June 19, 1954 and to this union were blessed with four children. Together they farmed until 1968 when Delphine took a job at Lakeside Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. She later went on to school to become a medical aide and continued this career until she retired. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dancing. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. Delphine Belko is survived by her children Steve (Carol) Belko of Pine City, Barb (Al) Klocke of Pine River, Jerry (Dawn) Belko of Brooklyn Park, Sandy (Jon) Rousu of Rochester; 11 grandchildren: Candi (Mike) Hurd, Jeremy (Reina) Klocke, Shawn (Cathy) Klocke, Dawn (Travis) Nepsund, Jeff (Samantha) Belko, Amanda (Cody) Reimer, Alyssa Belko, Josh (Stacy) Belko, Kendra (Erik) Friedland, Jenae Belko and Jaylene Belko; 13 great-grandchildren, siblings Carl Stoffel of Inver Grove Heights, Eleanor Carlson of New Brighton, Johanne Stoffel, Don (Verlys) Stoffel and Lenny Stoffel all of Pine City; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Nickolas and Caroline Stoffel; husband of 60 years Eddie Belko; in-laws Joann Stoffel and Marlin Carlson. Monsignor Alexsander Suchan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Delphine: 10:30 AM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City. Music will be provided by Ed and Judy Frost. Casket bearers will include Shawn Klocke, Cody Reimer, Travis Nepsund, Josh Belko, Russell Stoffel, Joe Saumer and Darold Stoffel. Scripture readers include Amanda Reimer, Alyssa Belko and Dawn Nepsun. Delphine’s obituary will be read by Kendra Friedland. Gift bearers include Candi Hurd, Jenae Belko and Jaylene Belko. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening at the Swanson Chapel in Pine City and also one hour prior to Mass in the St. Anthony Commons area. The interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pine City.
