Jeannie Rydberg of Pine City passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her home at the age of 80.
As an only child, Jeannie was born May 21, 1936 in Pine City, Minnesota to Bernard and Jeannie (Meyers) Olson.
She met her husband, Buddy Rydberg, when she was in the second grade, and officially “dated” him for the first time in the fifth grade. She and Buddy were married in 1953 and had three children. Over the years she was involved in a variety of groups including: PTA, Sunshine Club, Book Club, Sewing Club and the Red Hats. She treasured her many friends and in her later years, would never miss a Dominos, Canasta or a 500 date.
Jeannie had a tremendous love of reading and cherished every book she owned. She always said that her idea of a perfect day was a good book, a pan of brownies and a fire in the fireplace.
She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and hoped that each would reach their dreams.
