Steven Lonsky of Rush City passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at his home at the age of 64.Steven John Lonsky was born May 30, 1952 to Joseph and Evelyn “Hope” (Brandt) Lonsky in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Steve oversaw the operation of Lonsky Lumber Company after his father's passing in 1993. He also owned the Hilman Bar and Grill, Lonsky Trucking Company and the Town and Country Pole Buildings. Steve was an avid car racer, owning many race cars and traveling to many races where he met many new and old friends. He enjoyed his motorcycle and traveling on it. Steve also enjoyed hunting with his family at the deer shack, pheasant hunting, fishing and hunting elk with his friends out west.Steve is survived by his mother Hope Lonsky of Winter Haven, Florida; children: Charlene (Scott) Ammend of Mora, Janice Lonsky of Cambridge and Daniel Lonsky of Rush City; 7 grandchildren: Nicholas, Nicole, Isabel, Carson, Reed, Adyn and Parker; siblings: Greg (Jennifer) Lonsky of Princeton, Mark (Jane) Lonsky of St. Francis, Mary Waryan of Coon Rapids, Deb (Bob) Nartonis of Phoenix, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. And who could forget Trouble and Little Bit his best canine friends.He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Lonsky and brother-in-law Mark Waryan.Funeral services for Steve are scheduled for 7 PM; Thursday (12/8/16) with family and friends gathering two hours prior to the service at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City.
