Carol Mae Evert was born on July 29, 1927 to Ernest and Ruth (Blinkenberg) Evert in Page, North Dakota.  She graduated from Stillwater High School.  Following graduation, she married the love of her life, William Anderson on June 1, 1946 in Stillwater upon his return from service in the U.S. Navy in WWII. Carol was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  She had an entrepreneurial drive and spirit.  She always had a smile and encouraging word to those around her to pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest.  Her passion and dream was to build a wonderful and loving family, which she poured her heart into each day.  Carol will be remembered for her vivacious personality, sharp wit and lending a gentle or firm hand when called for.  She was an extraordinary host of large holiday and family gatherings. The entire family is grateful for the special kindness and care shown by the staff and caregivers at Golden Horizon’s Assisted Living, St. Clare Community and Lakeside Medical Center in recent months. It was Carol’s wish to have a “Celebration of Life” in her honor with a springtime or summer gathering of family and friends.  Arrangements and location for this celebration in Carol’s honor will be announced.
